The Itaipú Dam, is located between Brazil and Paraguay. It is the biggest hydroelectric dam in the world.
This dam recive the water of the Parana River.
It is formed by a wall of rocks. The flow of two Itaipu turbines corresponds to the entire average flow of the Falls. To build this dam they had to blocked the Paraná River, and for that a lot of animal disapears, and a lot of families need to move.
His construction last 7 years. The end of the Itaipú Dam was in 1982.
The Itaipú dam, have dam have 4.8 miles across the Parana River and a Height of 643 ft.
